Le Quartier Français and Bread & Wine at the 2010 Taste of Cape Town

It’s almost time for the 2010 Taste of Cape Town.

From Wednesday the 24th of March to Sunday the 28th of March there will be 19 top chefs, from some of the Cape’s best restaurants, serving up sample-sized dishes to Taste of Cape Town visitors.

Both Bread & Wine Vineyard Restaurant and Le Quartier Français are taking part and we’ve already decided on the dishes they will be showcasing.

Bread & Wine will be showcasing:

  • Bolognaise sausage, parsley puree, caponata
  • Duck trifle – duck jelly, liver parfait and roast pear.

While Le Quartier Franзais will be showcasing:

  • Braised lamb breast, white bean and buchu puree, apricot blatjang
  • Brie panna cotta, confit chicken, poached tomato and olive salad, basil and cucumber dressing.

*This year the Taste of Cape Town festival will be held at Rhodes High School, Montreal Avenue, Mowbray. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday the Taste of Cape Town will run from 18:30 till 22:30; on Saturday it will 13:00 till 17:00 and again from 18:30 till 22:30; and on Sunday it will run from 12:00 till 17:00.

Tickets cost R80 pp for a standard entrance and R170 pp for a premium entrance.
